طلع البدر علينا, Tala’ al Badru ‘Alayna

(translated as ‘oh the white moon rose over us’)is a traditional Islamic poem/song that was recited by the noble people of Ansar, to welcome the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to Yathrib (now known as Medina) after Hijra. It is still recited today to remember this event and is one of the oldest poems recited in Islamic History.
