O Muslim, lawful things have good attributes.Where is the good in singing, dancing and listening to flutes? Can we compare the words of singers and sounds of musiciansTo the glorious Qur’an, it’s lessons, wisdom’s and admonitions? How many singers do you know and give admiration?And how many do you know of the companions and the following generation? How much do you spend on singers from your wealth?Compared to how much you know of Islamic scholars.Do you see how much is memorised of music songs?While you ignore the book (i.e. Qur’an) to which memorisation belongs.How much do you memorise of these incantations?And sway back and forth in intoxication.Have you not seen those who follow the misguided?And increase the loudness of music when they should hide it?And who writes their songs, thinkers, or men of academia?or maybe scholars like Ahmad and Malik or even Ibn Taymiyah.O you who listens to music…Don’t you see that all the songs of the world and all the lyrics you’ve seenWouldn’t compare in reward to even Alif Laam Meem. “When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; When the stars fall, losing their lustre; When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); When the oceans boil over with a swell; When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - For what crime she was killed; When the scrolls are laid open; When the world on High is unveiled; When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; And when the Garden is brought near;- (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.” Qur’an, (81:1-14, Yusuf Ali Translation)

Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]. And they rejoice in the worldly life, while the worldly life is not, compared to the Hereafter, except [brief] enjoyment."

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ, لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ, فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ, لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً, فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ, فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ, وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ, وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ, وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
“[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure. With their effort [they are] satisfied. In an elevated garden, Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. Within it is a flowing spring. Within it are couches raised high. And cups put in place. And cushions lined up. And rich carpets spread around.”
