At the time of rain:
Allaahumma Sayyibann Naafi’aa
“O Allaah, (bring) beneficial rain clouds.”
(Bukhari – Fathul-Bari 2/518)
After it has rained:
Mutirnaa bifadhlillaahi wa rahmatihi
“It has rained by the bounty of Allaah and His Mercy”
(Bukhari 1/205, Muslim 1/83)
At the time of thunder:
SubhanAllaahil ladhii yusabbihur ra’du bi hamdihi wal malaa-ikatu min kheefatihi
“Glory is to Him Whom thunder and angels glorify due to fear of Him.”
(Whenever Abdullaah bin Zubair radhiyaAllaahu anhu would hear thunder, he would abandon all conversation and say this supplication. See al Muwatta 2/992.)
I don’t normally do things like this but my cousin has been in a medically induced coma for 3 days, after collapsing and going into cardiac arrest on Tuesday, and she’s still in the ICU. She’s also a single mother to my 13 year old nephew.
We’re not sure what happened or why she collapsed (no family history) but she hasn’t regained consciousness yet.
Please, please, please make dua’ that she makes a full recovery soon InshAllah.
JazakallahKhair.

Just found out, My friend was in a “Freak” Accident.
Where a Railing spike went through her back, Alhumdulilah if it was any deeper there would be seriously life changing damage. All praises be to Allah, seriously because she’s fine & will only be walking away with a scar. So, can we make dua for her long lasting health and well-being, Insha’Allah. This is also a reminder for how thankful we should be for own blessing of health.
“ALLAAHUMMA ASHFINEE BISHIFAA-IKA WA DAAWINEE BIDAWAA-IKA WA A’AFINEE MIN BALAA-IKA-FA-INNEE A’BDUKA WABNU A’BDIKA”
O Allah, make me healthy with Your remedy, cure me with Your medicine, keep me safe from the misfortunes (with which You try me), because verily I am Your servant, the son of Your servant.
Jazak’Allah Khair everyone.. & Keep safe!
Walaikum Assalaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakathu Brother/Sister. Hope you are well and in the best of health, Insha’Allah. Of course we can make dua for you & the entire ummah who also suffer from this same problem, including ourselves.
Repeat this Dua (Insha’Allah it will cause you benefit):
اللّهُمَّ إنِّي أعُوذُبِكَ مِن العَجزِ وَ الكَسلٍ
- “Allahumma inniy a’oothubika min al-ajzi wal-kasli”
- “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from incapability and laziness.”
There’s also a beautiful hadith narrated by Bukhari, if your duas are said with sincerity, truthful intention and repent, your situation may change. Remember Allah is all Merciful and All-forgiving.
“Allahumma innee a’oozhubika minal hammi wal huzn, wal ‘ajzi wal kasal, wal bukhli wal jubn, wadhal ‘iddayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal.”
“Oh Allah I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and from being overpowered by men (i.e. other people)
(Bukhari, volume 8, Book 75, Number 380)
